Producer: Marianne Bernstein
Marianne Bernstein is an artist, curator, film director and producer working in Philadelphia. In the 1980’s she in worked in NYC for the Muppets and Sesame Street, Myers & Griner /Cuesta Film Productions, and the Maysles Brothers.
In the 1990’s she founded untitled(space), The Lot, and co-founded Citywide Open Studios which incorporated “alternative(empty) spaces”as a call to widen the idea of art practice outside of the traditional studio setting. These projects won her the “Best Arts Visionary” and “Opening Minds, Opening Doors” awards in 2000.
Her photographs have been exhibited nationally and her award winning film “From Philadelphia to the Front” (2003) traveled to fifteen Festivals world-wide.
“Tatted”, her book on Philadelphia’s renowned tattoo culture was published in 2009.
Known for risky curatorial projects that are often meant to be social catalysts, last Fall, she produced The Welcome House in Love Park, in a 10’ transparent cube which was an artist residency by day and video installation at night; and Shelter at the Painted Bride which paired 18 artists with families on the verge of homelessness.

Danielle Lessovitz is a filmmaker originally from Kansas City. The Earthquake will be her third narrative short following Batteries (2009) and The Fish (2008). Her first documentary, Outside the Square – completed her senior year at Northwestern – won awards at international film festivals. A music video she produced/directed, El Corillo won Best Latin Music Video by Planet Records.
Repetitive Acts, a documentary short she directed on installation artist, Amy Kauffman, received Best in Artist Profiles by Ovation Televion and aired on their network. In 2007 she won first place for the documentary short, Anya’s Spyglass, filmed with friend David Kessler at the First Person Arts Film Festival. Most recently she received the Ben Lazaroff screenwriting award for her short film screenplay, The Earthquake.
